The Guest Room

Have you ever prepared for guests to come and stay? You clean, tidy and make preparations so you can present your best.  No one wants to be embarrassed or ashamed by their mess, clutter or unclean home.  We all desire to “look” put together.  However, behind closed doors things get a little out of hand, messy, chaotic and need a good clean from time to time.

The thing I love about Jesus is He never expects perfection from us, and is not put off by our mess or the parts of our soul that are broken, tired, weary or stained.  Jesus is not interested in being confined to our guestroom.  He wants to be in every part of our lives.  In fact, this is the very reason he came!  I quote Jesus “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
